The gravy that most often tops breakfast biscuits is white gravy. But some Southern households serve a different kind of gravy, chocolate! In our household growing up I remember my mom making chocolate gravy.

It was always special to me to see it on the table. This is definitely one of my childhood favorites.

2 tablespoons cocoa
3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoon flour
1 1/2 cup milk

Mix cocoa, sugar, and flour together.

Add the milk, making sure it mixes smoothly.

Heat on medium and stir constantly until it thickens.

About 8 minutes. Take off heat and add butter.
