What does the baking soda do? I’ve never heard of putting it in tea.
You don’t have to put baking soda in there, but the baking soda helps darken the ice tea and takes away some of the bitterness.
Some people don’t like the taste of tea because it has a slight earthy taste. The baking soda helps take away that bitter, earthy after taste. It doesn’t taste like baking soda in the tea…you will never know it’s in there.
I like that earthy taste so I guess that’s why I wasn’t familiar with this tip-haha
Thanks!
It’s not completely gone, but gives it a good smooth taste.

I will definitely have to try that then, sometimes my tea is too bitter tasting. I’m glad I ready your blog!
Thank you so much! One more thing about the tea…Don’t squeeze out the tea bags, if you don’t want your tea to be too strong
Yep, guilty as charged!! I always squeeze them out! Ha!
